Dress Code

Letchworth Golf Club Adult Dress Code - August 2020

A reasonable standard of dress is required on both courses and in the clubhouse by members and visitors
On both courses (including practice facilities and putting green.

Permitted:

• Any clothing designed specifically for golf or similar styled clothing
• Only shoes designed specifically for golf
• When wearing shorts, socks should be predominantly white or in keeping with the outfit. Knee length, ankle or shoe liner "˜sports' socks are permitted.

Not Permitted:

• Round neck T shirt (unless designed specifically for golf)
• Football/Rugby type shirts, shorts or socks
• Running/football shorts
• Work/torn/ripped jeans/shorts/trousers
• Bare midriffs
• Tracksuit trousers or trousers tucked into socks unless Plus 2s or 4s
• Trainers
• Hooded tops
• Members are encouraged not to wear shirts worn outside of trousers/shorts unless designed to be worn in this manner
• Baseball caps worn back to front

In the Clubhouse and on the patio
Permitted:

• All clothing designed specifically for golf or similar styled clothing
• Smart jeans including denim jeans
• Tailored shorts
• Socks are not required when wearing sandals or deck shoes
• Trainers
• Smart round neck T shirts

Not Permitted:

• Golf shoes of any description including dimple soled golf shoes (except on the patio)
• Work/torn/ripped jeans/shorts/trousers
• Tracksuit trousers
• Hats and baseball caps (except on the patio)
• Waterproof trousers (except on the patio)
• Bare feet/socks without shoes
• Sunday Lunch Smart casual - see below*
• Club matches - as specified by the match organiser
• Social events - dress code to be specified in the advert

*Smart casual -
Men - Tailored trousers, smart jeans (including denim), smart shirt including T shirt
Ladies - Tailored trousers, smart jeans including denim, skirt, smart shirt including T shirt, dresses

Children - no specific dress code
Juniors will not be expected to adhere to this code until they become members of the Heritage course but must wear trainers on the practice facilities or Academy course.
