H'cap Allowance: 50% Combined Handicap

  1. Mixed Foursomes Stableford Competition, played on handicap over 36 holes. The handicap index limit will be 15.8 for Men (Course Handicap of 19) and 21.8 for Ladies (Course Handicap of 25). Players holding higher handicaps may still enter but must play off these maximum limits.
  2. Entries are limited to 16 Clubs.  The leading 10 Clubs will receive an automatic invitation for the following year. The remaining 6 clubs will join the pool of invitees unsuccessful in last year’s ballot.
  3. The winners of the Letchworth Salver shall be the Club with the highest aggregate for points scored by all three pairs over 36 holes.
  4. The men drive the odd holes in the morning round and the ladies drive the odd holes in the afternoon round.
  5. Should more than one team finish with the highest number of aggregate points the winners and runners-up will be decided by one pair nominated from each team by the team Captain, playing the first hole (Stableford scoring) – Men driving – as a “sudden death”. If a tie still exists, the second hole will be played – lady driving – also “sudden death”.  Pairs will continue to play the 1st and 2nd holes in the aforesaid manner until a winner and a runner-up is decided.
  6. The Salver and prizes will be presented to members of the winning Club team.  Prizes will also be presented to the runners-up in the team event.  In addition, there will be prizes for the winning pairs morning and afternoon, with the proviso that no pair may win more than one prize other than members of the winning team and the team finishing second.
